What Just Happened??

Man, this day started out not so bad other than the fact that I left the house a little later than usual and that caused me to be late to staff meeting and I left my phone at home. Just after lunch I was hit with two unexpected things that have now changed my whole day and attitude! Good Grief... what is it with Mondays??? Why cant they be normal? Seriously!

Headed to A Town!

Alexandria that is! Trent and I have been together for almost 5 years and I have yet to meet all his friends from Alexndria (Trent's home town). So a couple of his friends have put together a "Reunion" of all the group. Trent is so pumped to see them. I have only met a few of his friends so I am a little excited and nervous. I still have to make two pecan pies and another dessert, so I better get to work. I took off Sunday so that we wont ave to rush back. We are staying with Brigette while we are there. She hasnt seen ThomasWade since he was three months old, so this should be alot of fun. We have been practicing our tricks!!! ha!

Is Jesus Thirsty??

Tonight when I was laying down with ThomasWade and we were saying our prayers he asked for a drink of my water. After he took a big drink, he raised it up above his head and said, "You want a sip of water Jesus?"

I love this age! It is something new and sweet everyday.

It's Just Another Manic Monday...

Wow, today was a day! What is it about Monday's?? Good Grief. I picked up ThomasWade from school and as soon as we got to the parking lot he threw himself on the ground crying because .... well, he didnt even really have a reason. But the the point of me saying this is that I was watching him and wishing so bad that I was 2 years old so that I could join him!! ha! When can adults have a kicking and screaming fit?? I wish it was today.

Cant wait for Terrific Tuesday!!

Pretty Cool Dude!

Fair Day

We took ThomasWade to the fair today! We had so much fun. Seriously, it was a perfect day to be outside and it was actually not crowded at all. We got there about 1 and stayed until 3. ThomasWade was so brave riding just about all the rides except for the Caterpillar Roller Coaster. He would walk up to the ride and wait in line with his ticket in his had, so big! What was so funny about him riding the rides was the fact that the entire time he was on the rides he was trying to figure out how it worked! Ha! We rode rides, walked around, saw people from church, and ate corn!!! My favorite part.

Also there was this Hannah Montana impersonator that ThomasWade was fascinated with. He was standing there with one hand in his pocket and swaying the songs as she song! It was hilarious!

Boy Genius

Tonight was orientation for ThomasWade's "School". While I was sitting there listening to the speech about how the program works and the ways that they work with the children, I was getting a little overwhelmed with it all. This was some pretty heavy stuff for a 2 year old to do much less comprehend. So when her speech was over I spoke with his teacher and asked how ThomasWade was progressing and she says, "There is something to be said about a child that enjoys his environment.... he has great vocabulary and a long attention span." Yeah, I wasnt really sure what I expected her to say, but I was hoping she would have said something like, "best in his class, quick learner, genius....ect." Ok I know the last one was a stretch!! Ha! For those of you who know me, you know that I am very proud of ThomasWade... But who wouldn't want there child to have the title "Boy Genius!!"
